Environmental Responsibility
Environmental responsibility is important to all of us. As a company we feel it is not just a moral imperative but that it is simply good business. By choosing and using materials responsibly we can minimize the impact we have on the environment and do our part to ensure that our natural resources are preserved for future generations.
Code of Environmental Responsibility
| Choose the highest quality, sustainable wood species that are not endangered and by their use do not threaten the environment: The mahogany species used in our wine racking and cabinetry are not endangered and are responsibly harvested. | ![]() |
| Focus on the highest levels of efficiency in material and energy usage: We strive for the highest yields from our wood materials and use our wood waste to heat our shop during the winter months. | ![]() |
| Identify and utilize reclaimed materials wherever possible without impacting quality: All the sheet goods that we use in our casework and wine cabinetry are comprised of high quality veneers and cores that include medium density fiberboard (MDF). The MDF core is dimensionally stable and strong and is created using reclaimed wood waste. We estimate that the use of these materials saved over 650 average-sized trees in the past 12 months. | ![]() |
